For about fifteen years Dilla University has pursued higher education. It is accredited nationally by educating leading-edge practitioners and scholars in teacher education.

Today, by the commitment of our government to strengthen higher education, Dilla University is a comprehensive University with 12 schools, a college and an institute. Our University now gives trainings in 40 undergraduate and 8 post graduate programs. Dilla University has more than 17000 students who are enrolled in regular, weekend and summer in service programs.

Our University is trying to provide its share for the economic development and social advancement of the country through quality education, research and community service. Three offices are putting collaborative efforts to actualize these tasks of the university.

Dilla University is a young university working towards its vision of joining the top most ten universities in East Africa by teaching learning, research and community services by the year 2023. To actualize our shared vision we are working in developing leadership and team work skills at different levels of the academia.

We hope that our young Dilla University will provide the type of education for our country’s future leaders and thus produce engines for our growth and transformation.
