MSc Program in Biology (Botanical Sciences) - Admission Criteria

A candidate (he/she)

• Has to successful complete the B.Sc/BED Degree in Biology or in other related disciplines such as Plant sciences, Natural resource management & Forestry;
• Has to fulfill other admission requirements set by the University as indicated in the University Legislation

Graduation Requirements

A minimum CGPA of 3.00 in the 27 credit hours course work and a “pass” grade in the M.Sc thesis or research work.

Duration of the Program

A candidate is expected to complete the program in a minimum of two years. But for valid reason endorsed by the academic advisor(s) and the Council of Graduate studies (CGS), the duration might extend to the maximum of one more year.

Degree Nomenclature

The M.Sc Degree to be awarded upon successful completion of at least 26 credits of course work and non credited M.Sc. Thesis shall be designated as:

Master of Science Degree in Biology (Botanical sciences)
