School of Natural Resources and Earth Science
The School of Natural Resource and Earth Sciences of Dilla University was established in 2009. The school comprised three programmes: Geography and Environmental Studies, Geology and Natural Resource Management. All the programmes under the school are well staffed with competent, motivated, experienced human resources ranging from Technical assistants to Assistant Professors. The school is renown in the University for its active Engagement in undertaking cutting age researches, developing and implementing projects of wider socioeconomic and environmental significance, rendering community services in line with the country’s growth and transformation plan.
Vision of the school
F The School of Natural Resources and Earth Science strives to be the first school from Ethiopian Universities having excellent quality of teaching, research and community services and, most preferred by students, by the year 2023.
Mission of the School
F Prepare knowledgeable, skillful and attitudinally positive graduates of Geography and Environmental Studies, Geology and Natural Resource Management.
F Promote and enhance research in environmental and natural resource management, socioeconomic development, sustainable development.
F Design and provoke community and consultancy services in wide range areas of socio-economic development, environmental and resource management.
