Overview
The School of Agricultural Science was established in the
2007-08 academic year as Faculity of Agriculture and rural devlopment with four departments (Animal Sciences and Rangeland
Management, Plant Sciences and Protection, Horticulture and Spices,
and Land Resource Management).
The
SAS was established with the following major objectives:
To produce well-equipped professionals with modern knowledge in different
agricultural, natural resource, and rural development disciplines, academic
capacities, personal and social attributes, and entrepreneurial skills
for the needs of the nation;
To conduct basic and applied researches in the different fields and
disseminate the output and their knowledge to stakeholders; and
To provide consultative services on agricultural, natural resource,
and rural development problems to various community groups.
