An Overview

The programs running under the Office of the Continuing Education Program are known for their income generating capabilities.

Currently there are two programs undergoing in the office: Advance standing (Extension) and the SKIP (Special Kiremt Program)

I. Advance Standing (Extension Program)

Under this program there are three centers that the teaching-learning process unleashed.

1. Dilla Center

Two faculties run the program:

1.1 Under the Faculty of Teacher Education, only English department run the program.

1.2 Under the Faculty of Business and Economics

2. Awassa Center

In this center the Faculty of Teacher Education run programs in seven departments.

3. Aleta Wondo Center

In the Faculty of Teacher Education only one department run the program: Geography

II. Special Kiremt Program (SKIP)

This program is run under the Faculty of Teacher Education's twelve departments during the summer season, as an inservice program, to upgrade the educational qualification of teachers' from the Diploma to the Degree level.
